Twice a year our team sets out on a nationwide search to discover artists who are cream of the crop. When we find one who really has something special, we reach out and collaborate to bring their art and our wallets together. So who are these artists, what inspired their designs and what makes them tick? We’ve got all the deets here:
MEET RACHEL DEJOHN
Tell us a little about yourself and how you got into art!
I'm a flower child born in the wrong era but enjoy wandering around in the now. I started out painting live at a music festival about 10 years ago. I set up with my umbrella and a beach blanket and have been doing art shows ever since. I still work random other jobs but hope to one day just create. I enjoy painting and drawing mainly images that stay in my mind from places I have traveled and places I dream of.

John Lennon - I have always been fascinated by Lennon and his passion to spread goodness to this world. I would love to give him a big hug.

What’s your favorite place on earth?
I have many favorite places, but one that stands out is a place with a right hand point break that i can camp out at. Traveling to tropical places and enjoying waves with some buddies is my favorite. My backyard is also one of my favorite places. That's the beauty of treating each day and each place as a favorite.
Do you have any words that you live by?
I've always loved this quote: "You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment". - Henry David Thoreau
